Therapy Contract & payment for Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy sessions

Virtual Therapy Studio Ltd | Josephine Tripier Lorio

Payment of Fee & Cancellation Policy

Subject to me being satisfied that your issue is one that can be alleviated by Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH), I will offer you a number of sessions following the initial comprehensive assessment. The number of sessions will vary depending on the issue you wish to address.

I kindly ask you to observe my cancellation policy and consider this before starting treatment.

The full session fee is charged if sessions are rescheduled or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. If you’re more than 10 minutes late to a session, I reserve the right to cancel the rest of the session and rearrange at a future date.

You may terminate therapy without further cost at any time you wish.

The initial comprehensive assessment duration typically lasts for 90 minutes. Please note that I reserve the right to amend the time for therapeutic reasons.

The fee for a single session is £80. The fee is payable in advance of each session.

Payment is accepted by means of UK bank transfer. Bank details will be provided when your booking is confirmed and an invoice will be emailed to you. Payment must be made at least 72 hours before appointment.

Confidentiality Contract

All information, whether verbal or written in notes, is treated as strictly private and confidential.

I, as a therapist, have a responsibility both to the client and to the community at large. Some moral and legal limitations therefore apply to confidentiality. These limitations mainly concern risk of serious self-harm, harm to others, and child protection issues. If a situation arises in which the moral or legal limits of confidentiality are exceeded, I will explain the reasons and discuss with the client at the time.

In the case of a disclosure concerning acts of terrorism, vulnerable adult or child protection issues or drug trafficking, confidentiality will be breached, and such disclosures will be passed onto the relevant authority without delay. Due consideration should be exercised before disclosing anything of a previously unreported criminal nature, as I am obligated to contact relevant authorities.

As part of my code(s) of practice I am required to carry out continuing professional development, and to engage in regular ongoing clinical supervision. This is to ensure an ethical and professional service to  clients.I may discuss your case in supervision but would not use any identifying details. If I wish to record a session, I will ask you first and you are at liberty to refuse.

Working remotely and with clients outside of the United Kingdom

My working practices are subject to English Law with the Exclusive Jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales. When working remotely, please ensure you are in a safe environment and have a secure method of communication with a backup in case this fails. Please ensure confidentiality can be maintained throughout the session.

Therapeutic Relationship

Our therapeutic relationship will remain a professional one at all times, the boundaries of which (such as contact outside our sessions) can be agreed between us during our sessions.

Please note any threats or acts of violence will invalidate this agreement and CBH will cease. Sessions will not take place if you arrive under the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed medication.

Client Satisfaction

The client undertakes therapy on the understanding that it is a collaborative process in which success cannot be guaranteed; progress depends in part upon the motivation and participation of the client. The client has the right to access the official procedures of the GHR in circumstances where an issue cannot be satisfactorily resolved within the bounds of the therapeutic relationship.

Unless the client specifically requests otherwise, a follow-up questionnaire will be sent via email at some point in the future, following the conclusion of the treatment. This is simply designed to monitor outcomes and help evaluate the service provided.

Code of Ethics & Practice

I accept and follow the principles set forth in the Code of Ethics & Conduct of the GHR. Copies available on request.
